Rev. Dr. Issac J. Canales, Ph.D.
Dr. Isaac J. Canales is the President of the historic (since 1926) Latin American Bible Institute in La Puente, CA. He is also the Senior Pastor of the Mision Ebenezer Family Church, in Carson, CA., a dynamic urban ministry, 1,700 members storing.
Dr. Canales received is B.A. in Religion with Highest Honors at Vanguard University/SCC and his Mdiv at the Divinity School, Harvard University (class of ’78). At Fuller Theological Seminary, he earned his P.D. (’93) in New Testament under the great British scholar, Prof. Ralph P. Martin. Dr. Canales served FTS for twenty years, most recently as Director of their famous Hispanic Church Studies Department and Assistant Professor of New Testament.
He is a published author, a gifted communicator and has participated in three documentary films produced by the Arts and Entertainment Network: “Mysteries of the Bible Series.”
His greatest achievement is at home, marries to Ritha Brubaker Canales for twenty-six years, they are proud and successful parents of three wonderful sons: Joshua, David and Jacob. They all love the Lord.
